It’s called Still Ill, the documentary that celebrates 25 years of Ill Communication, the cult album by Beastie Boys. Born in 1981 in New York, the band had started as a hardcore punk group that took inspiration from the music of Bad Brains, pillars of the genre.

Later, after meeting record producer Rick Rubin, the Beastie Boys began to merge their sound background with rap, a genre that in music is called crossover. Ill Communication, released in 1994, is one of those albums to keep in your vinyl collection: just think of singles like Sabotage, which became famous thanks to its video clip, where the members of the band played guards and thieves.
