It’s called Still Ill, the documentary that celebrates 25 years of Ill Communication, the cult album by Beastie Boys. Born in 1981 in New York, the band had started as a hardcore punk group that took inspiration from the music of Bad Brains, pillars of the genre.
Later, after meeting record producer Rick Rubin, the Beastie Boys began to merge their sound background with rap, a genre that in music is called crossover.
